Oceanography in general is the scientific study of the oceans, with an emphasis on their character and environment. It is sometimes divided in terms of the basic sciences into physical, biological, chemical and geological oceanography. The basic goal is to obtain a clear and systematic description of the oceans and to predict their behavior in the future with some certainty.
The first group to study oceanography was the ancient Egyptians. If you are a new visitor or member, share with us your thoughts and information now and forever on our active message board and chat room where you can ask some professors and they will answer you with the best academic answers or at least you can see and share in the discussion.
You can get to know more about the department and get some information about oceanography from the staff. You can know and study in the library to get many links of international oceanographic sites with the hot links available. Students of higher education and lifetime undergraduates can get your time table and results and you can contact the professors through mailing them. Posting the questions on the message board or meeting them through on line discussion.
For any visitor, there are many services that will be available here; meteorological parameters ( air temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, clouds, horizontal visibility and rainfall ) and wave height for fisheries and additional on line information.
